LIVING LEGEND BILLY ZOOM RECORDS FOR BLOOD RED!!!

Wow!! Can you EVEN believe it? Phantom Surfer/Ramoneture mastermind MEL BERGMAN has convinced legendary X guitarist BILLY ZOOM and drummer D.J. BONEBRAKE to play on the RAMONETURES sophomore effort. Tentatively titled "JOHNY WALK DON'T RUN PAULENE", the album will consist of instrumental versions of X songs. Both Billy and D.J. will appear on every tune and have already completed their tracks. Look for a release date sometime in fall 2001.

BLOOD RED WEEKEND II IS A SMASHING SUCCESS!!

Oh, man this is old news!! On January 29 and 30, 1999, the boys from Blood Red Vinyl & Discs hosted yet another bang-up surf and garage rock showcase at Berbati's Pan in downtown Portland. Fans turned out in droves to watch garage legends THE FLESHTONES, scary surfers THE BOMBORAS, Canadian funmeisters THE SMUGGLERS and the always happening SURF TRIO tear the place apart. On Saturday night, guest emcee and Portland wrestling legend PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE lent his unique talents to the festivities by berating the crowd in classic bad-guy wrestler style.
